What makes you stare off into space?
Things that happen throughout my day, probably just the little interactions I have with people, things that happen. It really is different every time, you know?

Can beauty exist without suffering?
I think that beauty can exist without suffering because if the world is beautiful, then it's beautiful. I think that suffering is something that is tied to Humans, not beauty.

Describe the most beautiful thing you have ever destroyed.
Probably myself, you know. Like, because I don't know, just hating on yourself and stuff, but deep down, you're just the most beautiful thing.

Has your work ever driven you mad? If it has, how did you come to clarity afterwards? If it hasn't, how do you prevent it from doing so?
My work has definitely driven me mad a couple of times. Because I do a lot of work with the environment and things like that, and it's just so depressing all the time. It's like everything I read is just like damn, So the way I stop is I look outside and then world's normal and still going, you know, like, I look outside and the birds are still chirpping and the trees are still green.

What's a piece of advice you would give a five-year-old?
This is so corny, but I actually never stopped being yourself. because that's like, one of the most important things in life is like, being true to who you are.

Is there any part of your work that is inspired by nature?
Everything I do, like, deep down to the roots of science, is all about natural things that fix natural things, you know?

What’s something physical and mental that you always carry?
Something physical I always carry with me is my water bottle. I like to stay hydrated. Something mental. Just like being happy, you know, I always like to remind myself of that.

When is something too much?
is when it's starts, like, stops making you happy and starts, like making like like causing, like, discomfort.

Have you ever seen something so strange it made you doubt your own eyes?
So we were on this hike; I was tired and hungry. Like, I had been up since 5 AM. I'm with these random people I don't know. I'm running because they're so tall, like I can't keep up. And then all of a sudden, we're walking through this part that's just not very uphill. It was a kind of relaxation. And the sun was shining down into this forest of birches, making it bright as the leaves changed color. The leaves were now gold and yellow, and they were falling, raining gold from the sky. It was the most beautiful thing I think I've ever seen in my entire life

What inspired you to choose your major?
Growing up, I was always outside. I was always playing in the grass, going on hikes, and even in the water, looking at worms and fish, and everything. Like, I couldn't stop myself from touching and playing with anything. I was just constantly outside.

How has studying your major changed the way you see the world?
I realized that the world is a lot more selfish than I thought it was. um like just everybody's just in it for themselves and it's for their money, and like they don't care about what happens to the people around them. as long as they're happy and as long as they get a million dollars, you know.

Which course in your major has been the most rewarding so far?
My environmental econ class. It's just like rewarding, mentally, because I never thought about that part of the environment before, like there's actually something we could do, money-wise, to prevent pollution and bad actors.

What’s one thing everyone should understand about your field?
That we're like, not, like, a bunch of like, idiots and, hippies and like, stuff like that. Like, it's actually really difficult.

What advice would you give to someone considering majoring in your field?
I would tell them to get ready because it's very upsetting what you learn every day, how the environment is being destroyed.

What’s something you love learning about right now?
What i’m learning in Physics class class so far. It describes like I know the math behind like why every day life. Like why happens and the way it happens.

If you had a time machine that could travel to one day in the past or future, where and when would you go?
I'll probably go into the future. I would be curious, and I would wanna see, like, what the future is like just after I die.

What motivates you to keep going when work gets hard?
I have to remember, it's just like that. Like, you know, it's just that it's just that one assignment, it's just that one thing, like, you just have to get through that, and then there's gonna be another one, but like, at least you got that one.

If you had to teach a classroom of elementary school children how to do your dream job, how would you do it?
I would show them a real-life scenario and play a mock trial kind of thing.

Do you enjoy working with abstract ideas or concrete facts more?
